Airsoft games exclusively use 6mm plastic BBs as the projectile. While most fields have a strict FPS limit of around 400fps, higher quality BBs are still recommended:

- Bio BBs: Made of biodegradable plastics that break down rapidly if left outside.

- Biodegradable BBs: Similar to Bio but may contain fewer recycled materials.

- Glass-Filled BBs: Heavier duty BBs with glass fillers for increased weight and consistency.
